Another one from the Pin Mill series.  The surface of the board is quite interesting on this one - plenty of brush strokes and thick paint!

The painting is 15cm x 40cm and was a really nice sunny day, as you can see from the sky reflected in the water.  It went through a couple of stages ending up with scraping the board back and starting again, but it made the surface really nice to work on and paint went on well without pulling up too much under painting. 

I am starting to appreciate the colour that sunlight brings, and while I love my muted, drab palette, I am getting increasingly excited about how unapologetic and unsubtle nature can be..
